Secure the affected account through the genuine provider. For card or banking information, contact the provider immediately. Closing the suspicious page does not recall information you already submitted.
Protect passwords and active sessions
On a trusted device, open the real service using a known address or app. Change the password and replace it on every other account where you reused it. End unfamiliar sessions and check recovery contacts. In an email account, inspect forwarding rules too, since they can silently copy future messages.
Cards, payments and one-time codes
Call the bank or card issuer through its app, your card or another verified contact. Explain exactly which details you entered and which approvals you made. A one-time code may have been used while valid; an authorised session can persist after it expires. Check account access as well as transactions.
If you entered only contact details
Your name, address and phone number can make future scams more convincing. A caller who knows them is not automatically genuine. Preserve the email and relevant evidence without revisiting the fake site. Tell the affected provider; if you lost money, contact the police too. Be wary of strangers promising recovery for an upfront fee.
For credentials or payment approvals, secure the real account and contact the provider now.
